Rachel Kuehn 2019 Earns Div. II Female Athlete of the Year at WNC Sports Awards

On May 19, Asheville School senior Rachel Kuehn was named Apollo Flame Division II Female Athlete of the Year during the 58th WNC Sports Award Banquet.

Hosted by the Mountain Amateur Athletic Club (MAAC), over 900 people gathered for the banquet at the Omni Grove Park Inn. MAAC honored finalists for 24 awards and presented 15 scholarships to athletes from throughout the region.

Kuehn is a talented multi-sport athlete. Earlier this year she won her third consecutive NCISAA Division II State Golf Championship, and she helped the Blues tennis team advance to state semifinals. Kuehn also earned CAA Player of the Year honors in tennis.

After her graduation from Asheville School, Kuehn has committed to play golf at Wake Forest University. Join us in wishing her congratulations on earning this prestigious award!
